Rachel Griffin is a pop/rock singer/songwriter, up-and-coming musical theatre composer and librettist, Dramatists Guild Fellow, and graduate student in music education at New York University. Rachel has won two national songwriting contests (National Public radio, American Idol Underground) garnered over 1.5 million YouTube views, and recently wrote a song for a Macy's internal campaign. 


Her work has been performed and showcased at 54 Below with the Cutting Edge Composers, 47th St Theatre the Musical Theatre Factory, the New Light Theatre Company, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, New York University, Hotel Cafe, the Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall, and The Bitter End. 


Rachel is a passionate mental health advocate and writes a mental health blog for The Huffington Post. She is writing and developing a full lenth mental health musical, We Have Apples. Her work has been featured on CBS NY news, The Washington Post, The Mighty, and PBS News Hour Chats. She started the viral twitter mental health campaign #imnotashamed along with several viral mental health videos and blogs.
